Victor was a heavy smoker and in March he found out he had terminal cancer and by June was hospitalized. One thing that Victor French had was a vision. T8 Christon, Lawrence. O49 Harford, Margaret. Drama Critics Vote Awards. X34 Sullivan, Dan. F1 IMDB. I loved LHOP. Watched all the way thru. Then HWTH loved that also. Anything they played in was a hit. I lost my father in when he had a massive stroke I watched Little House on the Prairie growing up and every time I saw mr. Edwards I remember my dad because he looked a lot like them and he had the full beard and the same character.
He was an amazing actor.
District 12's black market is called what?
A officer and a gentleman with Richard Gere must have been one of his last films. Suppers over and dinners cooking old Dan Tucker just stands there looking. I watch gunsmoke everyday now and my favorite episodes are the ones with Victor French in them. We lost him to soon!!

When you think about the irony at the end I think the book becomes much more valuable. May 03, Sammi rated it liked it. When I saw this book I immediately thought it would be an interesting read. It seemed to be a great book, one never read, but interesting to those who did read it. I was wrong.
While Victor is interesting enough in the beginning, it becomes clear that it is simply the chronicles of a doctor trying to educate a boy who was better off in the wild. The constant struggles with communication, and then later on, puberty while realistic, really weren't of much interest to me. Not to say that I regret rea When I saw this book I immediately thought it would be an interesting read.
Not to say that I regret reading it, it just didn't meet my expectations.
Nov 06, Jenny rated it liked it. This is not one of those books you read for great literary depth but I certainly enjoyed the author's representation of what the internal world of the "wild boy" who was pulled from his forest home in the south of France in It was also quite interesting to follow his life once he was taken and attempts to "humanize" him.
The man who worked for many years with Victor in Paris left a legacy of teaching which Maria Montessori used in her educational methods. Nov 05, Zach De rated it really liked it Shelves: biographies-memoir. This was definitely an interesting read, though really stretched itself to reach the amount of pages it had.
I'd like to think it would be better if shorter; less repetition. The book attempted to switch perspectives, but was quite confusing in doing that. I feel if the book were to stick to one of the observer's view points, say the housekeeper's daughter, the book would have been more enjoyable and raised a lot more questions that readers want to dig at.

Apr 10, Ophelia rated it it was amazing. I must say, the negative feedback that this book has received completely baffles me. The author's historical accuracy is perfect and the story is wonderfully bold. The switching perspective interested me rather than irritated and I didn't find the plot repetitive.
I have read this book twice and it will still be good even if I read it 50 times. Apr 26, Jenny rated it liked it Shelves: historical , teen. The story of the Savage of Aveyron. For some reason, it took me forever to get through this. I expected to like it better than I did, as it's an historical novel. Feb 04, Salsabrarian added it Shelves: ya , france , feral , child.
